Sparkle Clause & the 12 Crafts of Christmas: #3, Holiday Card Wreath

Sparkle Clause here! Oh the holidays.  That special time of year when we focus on family and good food.  We want to spread that good cheer to all that we know!  And we do...a lot...with Christmas cards!  Or Hanukkah cards, or Kwanzaa cards or **insert religious preference here** cards.  We send them far and wide to this family member and that friend, often times with a painstakingly posed family photo front and center on said card.  In return we get just as many well wishing cards in return: oh joy!  But where do we put them all, there are so many (I'm popular!)!  Around a door frame, a window casing or hung across some simple twine; how undignified for all those well wishes.  Fear not!  I have something fabulous for you!  I present.....

The Holiday Card Wreath!
Fantastic isn't it?!  Oh and EASY too!  Let's get started!

You will need:
Spray paint *gloves optional*
12 Clothes pins
1 yard Wire edged ribbon
1 Embroidery hoop
Holiday themed foam stickers
*optional but fabulous GLITTER DUCK TAPE!*

You will soon learn that if there is a way to incorporate glitter into something, I will do it.

 1. Spray paint: You will need to paint your embroidery hoop and all of your clothes pins.  The picture below is a bulk batch of clothes pins I did.  I suggest clipping them to the side of a box like below to get the best coverage.  You will most likely need to move them a few times to cover them all.

2.  GLITTER DUCK TAPE!  This is optional, but oh my it's so pretty...and mess free, yeay! Cut thin strips of the glittery-goodness and stick to the top of your clothes pins.

3. Glue:  Glue your clothes pins onto your hoop, mouth side out (like below) or alternating in and out.  If you have a small hoop I suggest only mouth side out. Then top with holiday stickers to your liking!

4. Ribbon: Add your ribbon onto the very top (like pictured at the top of the page), leaving a little loop to let the wreath hang and your bow to stand out on top.  I used 2 different ribbons at 1 yard each, however if you would like it longer, by all means!

Put that sucker up on a wall and await your bounty of  holiday cheer (a.k.a. cards)!

Merry Crafting!
